Support after your treatment

We're just checking in to see how you're doing

We hope you're feeling well after your final treatment session and have been able to apply learnings from your therapy sessions in your day-to-day life. We just want to say well done and keep going!

Now what do I do?

We understand that it can feel quite daunting now you have finished your treatment. Don’t worry, we’re here to support you beyond the sessions you’ve had. To help, here are some common questions following your final session:

I’m not sure what to do with myself now that treatment has finished

It’s completely natural to feel a bit vulnerable or unsure now that therapy has come to an end. You’ve done a lot of meaningful work, and stepping out on your own can feel both exciting and a little daunting. This is a time of consolidation, a chance to put into practice everything you’ve learned and to discover your own strength in doing so. Even though it might feel uncomfortable at times, continuing to use your tools and reflect on what you’ve gained helps to deepen and solidify your progress. Remember, feeling vulnerable doesn’t mean you’re going backwards, it’s often a sign that you’re growing and learning to trust yourself in new ways.

What if I need more treatment?

If you feel that you require further treatment, please contact our Patient Services Team who can support you with next steps or contact your local GP practice.

Can I go back and review my sessions?

Absolutely! All you need to do is log back into your account to review sessions, see below for further information on how to do this.

How long will they be saved on the Therapy Site?

Health data is stored for up to twenty years which is in line with NHS standards, you can read more about our retention policies in our Privacy Notices here.

Do I get a follow up session post-discharge?

We do not currently offer follow up sessions after discharge, however, if you would like to speak with someone following your discharge, please contact your local GP or Talking Therapies team.

Can I re-refer in the future if I feel I need support again?

Yes. If you feel you need support in the future and our service is available to you, you are more than welcome to re-refer. Please contact either our friendly Patient Services Team, check your eligibility on our website or contact your local GP / Talking Therapies team.

Will I still be able to contact my therapist via the therapist room once I have been discharged?

Unfortunately not. Once you have been discharged from us, your therapist no longer has access to your account or details so contact is not possible. If you do need to speak with a professional, please contact your local GP.

What people say

We’ve helped thousands of people feel better.
Here are their stories of recovery and growth.

Would definitely recommend

I felt comfortable taking with my therapist. The homework I had made sense, and it did help... and it continues to help. We explored my past, and I became more aware of my triggers and began to analyse my fears more productively.

Helped me understand how my brain was working

The weekly sessions were structured and focused. The exercises really helped me understand how my brain was working in a negative way. I was able to think through the sessions with
no pressure.

I use what I have learned to help me navigate life every single day

CBT has helped me become much more self aware in many areas of my life, over and above the difficulty that prompted me to apply, so even though sessions have ended I use what I have learned to help me navigate life every single day. Do try this. It may not be for everyone but you may be surprised how much it can help you and even change your life!

I have learnt so much

I cannot praise Mindler highly enough... I have learnt so much and have many tools that I can now use to remind me of all I have learnt. You need to, and are expected to, put in effort to try and help yourself, along with so much help, empathy and kindness from your therapist.

After two or three sessions started to feel the benefit

Following instructions, I started exercises and after two or three sessions started to feel the benefit. All I can say is, give it a go, it can't make you feel worse only better.
