One day study day - Wednesday 25th April 2018

Managing common mental health disorders in primary care: Choices, tools and strategies.

Date: Wednesday 25th April 2018
Location: Cave Castle Hotel and Country Club, Church Hill, South Cave, East Riding, HU15 2EU
Time: 09:00 - 16:00

It is estimated that at least 60% of patients who present in a primary care setting will be experiencing a common mental health disorder. Providing evidence based interventions and advice can be challenging in a short consultation. This one-day workshop will provide GPs and primary care practitioners with an update on the latest evidence as well as a range of quick and useful tools that can be used with patients in this setting.

The workshop will be facilitated by Andrew Smithsimmons. Andrew has worked with Ieso Digital Health since 2012 with an increasing focus on clinical supervision and continuing professional development for IDH's growing team of therapists. Having worked in adult mental health service since 2006 Andrew is a BABCP accredited cognitive behavioural psychotherapist who also holds the position of Principal Educator for Psychological Interventions in the Psychology Directorate of NHS Education for Scotland.

The study day is being provided free of charge as part of Ieso Digital Health's continuing commitment to professional education and development. The day is aimed at GP’s and healthcare professionals within the primary care setting who work with patients presenting within their practice with common mental health conditions.
