Welcome to Perinatal Matters, a bank of useful guides and resources for all healthcare professionals working in the perinatal sector.
We know that working on the front line of maternal healthcare can be an immensely rewarding job, yet also incredibly challenging. You want the very best for the people in your care and often go above and beyond to provide that.
We at Ieso are just as passionate about the mental wellbeing of every woman (and man!) going through the perinatal journey. For this reason, we have created a bank of resources and tools for all healthcare professionals, to support them when managing their patients who may be experiencing a mental health care issue, during their daily work. These resources have been designed to equip you with additional knowledge of perinatal mental ill health and the care pathway, to help you feel confident in identifying and signposting potential cases to the right service at the right time. This library of information is growing and covers subjects from recognising possible symptoms, CBT methods used to treat patients and how to signpost those that need help.
Ieso was honoured to be a part of the Royal College of Midwives AGM in Manchester on Tuesday 31st and Wednesday 1st November. If you had the opportunity to speak to us there you may be aware that Ieso are currently looking at the care pathway of women in the pre-natal and post-natal period that may be suffering from mental health problems and as part of this we are asking health care professionals who are involved with this care pathway to answer a few short questions for us about their personal experiences. If you did not have a chance to take part at the AGM we would be very grateful if you could please take a few moments to fill out the short survey here to contribute to our research and shape the future of the care pathway.
