Ieso’s Chief Clinical Officer Sarah Bateup has been named as one of the UK’s top 50 female leaders in healthcare
Sarah Bateup, Chief Clinical Officer at Ieso Digital Health, has been named in an influential industry report by BioBeat as one of the top 50 female leaders in healthcare business in the UK. BioBeat’s 50 Movers and Shakers in BioBusiness 2018 highlights women who are leading, inspiring and innovating to ensure that new technologies and treatments continue to improve UK research, health and society.
Sarah has been recognised for her leadership and innovation at Ieso Digital Health, a service that is driving the transformation of mental health care outcomes, reversing the stagnation in recovery rates for anxiety and depression.
Sarah joined Ieso in 2013, in its formative years when it was treating small numbers of patients using its web-based platform. She has taken this piece of technology and helped to build a service that has treated tens of thousands of patients. This technology is now developing it into a platform that can transform the quality of therapy delivered to patients globally.
Sarah has also been instrumental in developing the first clinical decision support tool providing clinicians with immediate guidance, dramatically improving patient recovery, and introducing the possibility of preventative treatments for the very first time.
Speaking about this report, Sarah Bateup said “I am passionate about how technology and data science can be used to drive up the quality of patient care, and it is an honour to have this work recognised by such a prestigious report. It is hugely exciting to see all the revolutionary female-led initiatives that are being acknowledged. It is such crucially important work.”
BioBeat founder Miranda Weston-Smith comments: "Congratulations to the outstanding women leaders who are recognised as the 50 Movers and Shakers in BioBusiness 2018. They are changing what is possible for the benefit of humanity and helping to build a more inclusive, responsive healthcare ecosystem – whether that’s by developing revolutionary products, shaping bioscience through investment, accelerating the innovation pipeline, transforming patient access to healthcare or supporting innovation from concept to market."
Dan Clark, CEO of Ieso Digital Health added: "To say that Sarah Bateup has blazed a trail for women working in digital health is an understatement. Her passion and dedication to advancing mental health treatment and outcomes is truly unsurpassed in the industry.”
