Ieso Digital Health welcomes HRH The Duchess of Cambridge’s public contribution to the mental health conversation
Ieso Digital Health, the UK’s largest provider of online evidence-based cognitive therapy (CBT), today welcomes the Duchess of Cambridge, Kate Middleton’s contribution to the conversation about mental health in the UK. The Duchess describes mental health problems as "things that can't really be seen but that affect us every day, and talking about them can feel difficult."
Kate was speaking in her capacity as Patron of the Anna Freud National Centre for Children and Families and was launching an animated video for children and families on mental health for the charity. Kate is encouraging people to discuss what they are thinking and feeling with their friends and families. She also emphasised the importance of looking out for each other and listening to people’s problems saying “Sometimes it's just a simple conversation that can make things better.”
Speaking about the The Duchess of Cambridge’s comments, Sarah Bateup, Chief Clinical Officer at Ieso Digital Health said:
“Mental illness is one of the great equalizers in life – just like catching a cold, no one is immune to it and no one ever asks for it. Kate’s candid conversation about the benefits of speaking out about mental health, builds on the great work that the Royal Foundation is doing in helping to destigmatise mental health.”
