'My hours are my own, I get to choose'
Mel Goldman, High-intensity therapist, with Ieso for 6 years

'I came to Ieso several years ago now because I needed a platform that allowed me to work flexibly and remotely since after years of working in the NHS as a high-intensity therapist and supervisor, my life became more mobile as I moved around to different locations.

I felt supported by Ieso from the get-go. Supervision is provided on a regular basis and I didn't have to source an outside supplier. I immediately felt safe and assured that risks would be managed appropriately and collaboratively leading to a less isolated experience than in private practice out on one's own.

Over the years, I have also benefited from continuous access to CPD 'in-house', which contributes to insight and practice development and, needless to say, the ease of reaccreditation. My hours are my own, I get to choose - whilst at the same time I am essentially still undertaking NHS work. It's great to work with such a wide range of patients throughout the UK and fits with my values, giving me an additional sense of reward.

People often wonder how you can deliver an effective type of treatment via typing alone. I quickly learned that you can as long as you don't write like a robot but a real person! Finding a middle ground between protocol-based practice and flexibility in relation to each patient's needs at any given time, is an invigorating challenge for all of us CBT therapists but one that can be expressed really well in this format with use of emojis, warmth, compassion, patience and humour.

If you are a quick and able typist, this can be a really effective way to communicate CBT ideas that as you go along, builds substantial confidence in yourself as a clinician and gives your patients some concrete tools to go it alone once your intervention has completed. The fact they have ongoing access to their transcripts and the resources you've shared is a fantastic advantage with this platform and as a practitioner, it appears to have been created by a bunch of incredibly clever people that appear to know exactly what you need to make it user-friendly even if you're not a natural at I.T.'

'I expressed an interest in working with Ieso shortly after I became an accredited CBT Therapist. I was attracted to Ieso for many reasons, but mostly because it allowed me to work hours that suited me whilst benefiting clients at the same time.

After reaching out, the process of recruitment was so fast and easy. I was contacted straight away and everything was explained clearly to me. I provided necessary documents such as proof of ID, DBS checks and qualifications and I was supported in taking the next steps. It helped that I was able to liaise with one person throughout the process and I felt like I could contact her and ask anything whenever I needed. Everything was taken care of for me.

Working remotely has been one of the best experiences I’ve had with Ieso. I love the fact that I can work from the comfort of my own home and deliver high quality evidence based therapy for people up and down the country. It took a short while to get used to communicating through text but I am a more confident and creative therapist because of this. Ieso has allowed me to reflect on my practice and the delivery of CBT in a way that’s been invaluable. I am grateful for all of the free CPD events and easy access to clinical support.'

As a Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapist in an inner-city IAPT service, I was initially drawn to the opportunity with Ieso because I strongly believed there was a group of people in need of treatment whose psychological needs were not being met by traditional NHS services. Ieso presented an exciting opportunity to be part of a highly skilled team, literally at the fingertips of this group of service users.

Looking back to my recruitment experience with Ieso, it was so simple! The recruitment team were extremely helpful, making what would have normally been a hectic, pressured process, quick and easy to navigate.

My journey with Ieso has been a fantastic learning opportunity, each interaction I have with my patients is underpinned by the need to provide the best possible therapeutic experience for the individual. Ieso has always supported me to be the best therapist I can be, from the excellent clinical supervision to the fantastic provision of online training and everything in between!

I have been a Clinical Affiliate with Ieso Digital Health for nearly 5 years, and I am extremely excited by the opportunities for learning and professional development that are on the horizon.

I decided to join the Ieso team shortly after becoming an accredited CBT therapist. It was an easy decision to make given the good things I had heard about the service from my clinical supervisor at the University of Southampton. I was also very keen to learn new ways of helping people, and now, after nearly two years of working as an affiliate CBT therapist, I can honestly recommend the service.

I appreciate the flexibility and autonomy in managing my diary and the size of my caseload that Ieso offers as it helps me fit work around family life, the school runs and kids clubs. The remote working will also appeal to people who need to relocate or value greater mobility. The Admin and HR teams are very friendly and helpful in finding prompt resolutions to any issues, and my onboarding experience was very smooth and straightforward. What makes Ieso truly unique is the support and opportunities offered to its therapists - the regular monthly supervision is of the highest quality, and is provided in addition to ad-hoc supervision questions one can ask if needed.

Furthermore, the therapists' hub offers exciting free CPD opportunities, including guest speaker programmes, and at Ieso therapists are consulted and their feedback sought to help the company grow and develop. There are additional research projects for people with special interests and fairly constructed monetary incentives for those who would like to go the extra mile. These are the marks of a successful learning organisation, and perhaps the growing demand for Ieso services is the best possible testimony.
